The next Olympic games will be held in Tokyo, Japan. The Prime Minister of Japan announced it at the end of this year's Olympics closing ceremony. Champions at the Tokyo Olympic games might earn more than just Gold or Bronze.

As mentioned earlier, the 2020 Olympic games will be held in Tokyo, Japan and a report shows us that the medals for the games might be made from recycled smartphones. According to Nikkei Asian Reviews Sakakibara , the medals to be given to champions in the 2020 Olympic games might be deduced from discarded smartphones. This will go a long way to protect the environment.

Japan discovered 143kg of gold, 1,566kg of silver and 1,112 tons of copper in 2014. The medals that were awarded to the champions in the 2012 Olympics which was held in London were made up of 9.6kg of gold, 1,210kg of silver and 700 kg of copper.
