Melting Note 7 did not stop Samsung from making profit
Samsung has made an effort to surpass its profit estimate for the third quarter of 2016 even though they are experiencing problem with the Note 7. They published its Q3 earning guidance earlier today.
They pointed out that, it expecting profit of around $7 billion with total sales around $44 billion. This is an extra increase of $3.6 million compared to its earning from the same quarter last year.
Samsung figures may have been able to beat analyst estimates, but the Note 7 recall has some way or the other effected its business. From July to September, the overall sales have been down than analyst point of view maybe as a result from the Note 7 smartphones. The sales of its new smartphones were down due
to the continue problem with the device’s battery.
Their numbers still project a year-one-year increase but the company could have done well as it is coming off its largest quarterly profit of the past two years, Chung Chang, an analyst at Nomura Holdings, claimed that “Samsung was originally expected to perform better and better this year.”
