Google is rumored to join the smartwatch market

All Google’s previous Nexus device has been made by different manufacturers. The Nexus 6P was made by Huawei, the Nexus 5 was made by LG etc. But Google has finally released their first phone that is made by Google, the Pixel and Pixel XL. Google will also make their own smartwatch, according to the leaker Evan Blass aka evleaks.

The watch is rumored to be released in Q1 2017. Q1 2017 means “first quarter of 2017”, which means that it will be released 2017 in January, February or March. The smaller one of them is rumored to have the codename “Swordfish”, while the bigger one is called “Angelfish”. The “Swordfish” is rumored to be a normal smartwatch that will need to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth. The “Angelfish” is a little bit more special. It’s rumored to come with 4G, as well as a GPS and heart rate sensor. Both watches will probably come with Android Wear 2.0 out of the box.

Both watches looks very clean and minimal. You will probably be able to choose from some different colors on the watch strap and the actual case, like you can with most watches and smartwatches on the market.

I’m really excited to see what this watch will look like. This is just rumors, but evleaks is known to rarely be wrong!
