Ferrari owners better watch their backs, Tesla might go speeding by
Tesla, the well known all electric automobile manufacturer is making all electric car the fastest one in the world. Tesla's new Model S P100D, which was announced as a part of Elon Musk's master plan, is that car.
The Model S P100D sports Tesla's famous "ludicrous" mode, which allows these speeds to be reached. The "ludicrous" mode is similar to other car's sport mode, but as the name implies, it's crazy. What's really crazy is that the cars Tesla's Model S is competing with are completely different than it. These cars made by Ferrari and Porsche and roadster-like cars that are extremely expensive and only seat two people. The Model S P100D has seating for much more, and with a starting price of $134,500, (according to Tom's Guide) it may be out of reach for some of us but is much more in reach than the millions of dollars the opposing cars cost.
The new Model S P100D equipped with a 100-kWh battery can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds, according to Tom's Guide. What do you think of Tesla shaking up the market? If you asked me I would tell you that I love what they're doing, it doesn't look like their stopping anytime soon. Have you seen charge stations near you? Let us know in the comments below.
