Instagram is now launching custom comment filters to all users

Instagram has had a lot of problems with the abuse of people in the comment section in the past, as people have been harassed and bullied. Even though your account could get banned after harassing someone, that often isn't enough to stop all the abuse. That's why Instagram announced custom filters where you can block words from appearing in your comments. Thus, ultimately trying to avoid some of the negative and harsh comments towards yourself and others, and even stopping some of the comment wars that happen quite frequently. This feature was first beta tested through some high profile accounts and now they have started to roll this out to the general public.

So what do you think? Is the new feature good? Or do you think it takes away the concept of freedom of speech? Let us know in the comments down below and make sure to connect with us on our other less popular social media accounts, such as Tumblr and Pinterest.
