Samsung has patented a dual OS laptop dock
Apple has been patenting a lot of interesting concepts lately, and now it is Samsung's turn to give it a try. Samsung has patented a laptop with a smartphone dock that can dual-boot 2 operating systems.
The patents displays a standard laptop, with the standard QWERTY keys. But above the keyboard is this area where the phone would slide in and dock to the laptop. The phone would connect to the laptop most likely via the MicroUSB. There would be no extra connections, all of the processing comes from the phone via the MicroUSB connection.
The computer would normally run windows, but when the phone is docked it could switch over to Android. Also, the phone can also charge and act as the touchpad. Not sure if this will ever come to market, but chances are it will not. So, don't be looking for this any time soon.
