Images of Roku's latest streaming boxes leak

Zatz Not Funny recently leaked the new product branding for Roku's upcoming streaming boxes, and now they have published the first images of Roku's next hardware refresh. And just like you'd expect, they look like Rokus. They show the Roku Express and the Roku Express Plus, which haven't been released yet. The two models are meant to replace the existing Roku 1. From the design perspective, these look like the most unique as it looks like Roku just cut one box in half. Roku has managed to keep some things a surprise as Zatz Not Funny doesn't know the difference between the regular and Plus models.

The Roku Premiere and Premiere+ are the next devices to show up, and return to the usual Roku aesthetic and also replace the Roku 2 and 3 respectively. They both might also share 4K capabilities out of the box, and their design closer resembles the Roku 4 design. The Premiere+ model will include an ethernet port for fast and reliable streaming as well as a microSD card slot. Both of these features will be missing on the regular Premiere model. The Premiere+ may also have HDR.

The new lineup of Roku hardware includes the Roku Ultra, which has optical audio out and a handy remote locator button placed on the top of the box. Zatz says "This flagship Roku appears to be a lock for HDR in 2016 and may be the only model to feature USB for accessing local media. The Ultra may also be the only model to ship with a motion-control gaming remote capabilities this time around."

So these images give us a pretty good look at what Roku is planning to unveil in the 2016 Roku lineup. These streaming boxes haven't been announced yet, but with these images surfacing, it might not take long until they're real.
