New 27-inch iMac to include Intel Kaby Lake chip leaked by Best Buy
Later this month, we're expecting Apple to unveil new MacBook models. As well as having new laptops, they might have refreshed versions of the iMac desktop computers. An upgraded 27-inch iMac was briefly spotted on Best Buy's website including Intel's seventh-generation "Kaby Lake" Core i7 chip.
The iMac was found sporting the next-gen processor with it listed as "New!". Other than that the hardware hasn't changed that much. The computer still sports a Retina 5K display with options for 32GB of RAM and a 2TB Fusion Drive.
It could be possible this was just a mistake made by an employee as well as just a placeholder, but this timing doesn't seem like a coincidence as Apple is already getting ready for a new iMac. As well as packing a new processor, it's also expected the new iMac will include an upgraded graphics card.
Apple's expected to bring a lot of attention towards the redesigned MacBook Pro, which is rumored to feature an OLED touchscreen above the keyboard, USB-C ports and a Touch ID sensor. It is also possible to see an upgraded MacBook Air which might include a single USB-C port. These plans for an October event are still not confirmed by Apple, but an invitation for it might be going out very soon.
