Google WiFi is the smart router
At the Google event a couple of days ago, Google released a new device for the smart home. The device is called Google WiFi. Google WiFi is a kind of router that is called multi-point routers. That means that you can place many small routers all over your house, so your whole home will get a great WiFi signal. Another multi-point router is called Eero.
Google says that these routers are developed to be smart and intelligent. So if you have a big home with many different Google WiFi routers, your phone shall be able to connect to the closest router. Google also said that their new router will be able to support AC1220 wireless speeds. The routers are also going to be available to handle channel management automatically. You will, of course, be able to download an app to your phone to manage your Google WiFi, just like you can do with Eero.

The Google WiFi got a very beautiful and elegant design, in my opinion. It looks like a small cylinder, but it is almost as wide as it is high. In the middle of the cylinder, there is some light, so it will look cool in darkness. There is also a small Google logo on the top of it.
If you are interested in buying this device, you’ll need to pay $129 dollars for one router, or a three-pack for $299. But you will probably need to have two routers or more if you doesn’t live in a small apartment. The rival Eero is more expensive. You can buy one Eero for $199 and three for $499. Google WiFi will be available for preorder in America in November, according to Google. If you preorder it in November, you’ll get it in December so it can be a good Christmas Gift.
Overall this sounds like a great device. It also sounds like it will be a good competitor to Eero, it’s probably even better than Eero. Do you want to buy it? Let us know your opinion.
