Google to publicly state self-driving car accidents

Tech giant Google, is to publicly confirm its driverless car accidents due to reports that the cars have already been involved in many mishaps. The incidents will be reported monthly along with a review of the development of the project. Last month’s report provides details on the previous accidents that Google’s cars have been involved in. Google claims that its cars where not at fault and the majority of them were hit at the rear-end.

Google’s six year project consists of 12 accidents, and also includes about 1.8 million miles of automatic and manual driving in total.

Reporting the accidents may be a smart move by Google as it could tranquil public concern. Additionally, it indicates that Google is positive about its cars and acknowledges that they are not harm to society.

Very soon, the public of Mountain View, California, should be noticing these self-driving cars out and about, as Google expands its location of testing. However, drivers will still be present and able to take control of the cars when necessary. Unfortunately for you speed-lovers, the cars will be capped at 25 miles per hour. It’s a pretty decent way for Google to slowly expand the examination of an element of the future.
