Tesla’s new “Common Man” offering

After Tesla announced its cheaper car alternative, people already began to go nuts about it. We have even more reason to spread the craze now than even before, putting up some impressive stats.

The new Model III will have at least a 250 mile range on one charge, contrary to the original alleged 200 miles. The Model S gets a 253 mile range but is much more expensive, which brings up another excellent point: the price. With this mileage, you expect this “common man” car to be a bit more expensive. Well, the numbers are out, and it will only cost you $35,000. This out-competes many other electric vehicles on the market, especially for the incredible mileage it gets.

One of the few downsides to the Model III (and I say few because, after all, you are getting a Tesla here, which is high quality in and of itself) is that it will 20% smaller than the Model S, but about 50% cheaper, so obviously it isn’t too much of a sacrifice.

Tesla is said to unveil the Model III sometime in 2016 for the 2017 production year, so even though we still have to wait, there is a lot to look forward to.
