HP’s first USB-C laptop

The revolutionary USB-C type is heading into the future of technology and brands such as Apple are picking it up and putting it to use. Now, HP is also utilising USB-C in its new laptop. HP is unveiling the updated version of the Pavilion x2 today and it features USB Type-C. And they’ve actually been pretty smarter than Apple by including other ports and not completely depending on one USB-C port.

USB-C is basically expanding in the tech world and could end up providing us more advantages as we see more and more technology consisting of it. The USB-C standard has been developed by a group of tech firms including HP.

Putting USB-C aside, HP’s new Pavilion x2 is fundamentally what we normally see in HP’s range of laptops. It’s a tablet but then you can add its keyboard to transform it to laptop mode. It rocks a 10.1” touchscreen display, with 32GB storage space, complemented by a quad-core Intel Atom processor. However, it is quite thick when you’re using it as a tablet. For a $299 price tag, it should be respectable. HP’s fresh range of laptops will be in stores next month.
