Blackberry 'Venice' Android smartphone leak

It’s been more than a month now that we’ve been waiting for Blackberry to talk more about a new device that they’ve been working on since it was originally announced at MWC in March.

Blackberry is working on an Android smartphone with a ‘dual curved display’. That’s not all, it also includes a slider feature that allows a keyboard under the screen to be revealed for usage.

‘Dual curved display’. Yeah, we’ve seen that on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and it is very good looking. Blackberry’s ‘Venice’ device also hosts a speaker at the bottom. It’s also got the Android Operating System theme as Blackberry maybe planning to ditch BlackBerry 10.

Evan Blass (a phone design leaker) uploaded the image on Twitter. The image also indicates a variety of Google/Android apps. This could mean that all of the stock Google apps and services are available on the Blackberry smartphone.

Reuters reported last month that Blackberry would make the move to Android. If this is the truth, and Evan Blass’ design leak is correct, it should be coming to stores near you. Blackberry has been kind of quiet for the past couple of months, and it’ll be exciting to see what they have in stock for us with this upcoming Android smartphone.
