Latest OnePlus 2 rumour features update
OnePlus has started hyping up its upcoming OnePlus 2/Two smartphone ahead of its release later this month and the company has been putting out little teasers of assorted specifications and features we can expect to see. Below we’ve gone over everything that OnePlus has officially announced so far about the OnePlus 2.
As far as specs go, the OnePlus 2 is going to feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and a USB Type-C port. Having 4GB of RAM on a smartphone vastly improves the device’s ability to perform multiple tasks at once, including the ability to have several graphics-intensive games running at the same time.
The Snapdragon 810 processor is well known to Android fans who have bought new devices this year, although not for the best reasons. The 810 was notorious in early days for overheating issues even though it seems that Qualcomm and OEMs using the chipset have since managed to get this issue under control. And of course, USB Type-C ports are wonderfully useful because they let you use one port for a variety of functions, including a device’s power, USB data transfer, HDMI and VGA capabilities.
The device will launch on July 27th and will be priced at under $450/£300 off contract, which is very impressive for a device with such high-end specifications. Last year’s OnePlus One was also unbelievably priced, in that it delivered cutting-edge specifications and an attractive overall design at a mid-range price. I have a OnePlus One and I'm still undecided weather to upgrade or not. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see.
