Samsung's S Pen, found on the Galaxy Note series phones, is quite the powerful tool, allowing you to write notes and take screenshots of certain areas and much more.

Plus it gets better with new features every year. The newest update to the S Pen could include a way to eject the stylus from the phone automatically, according to a new leak via a new patent from Samsung. Found by Patently Mobile, the patent claims that someone could quickly remove the stylus with a gesture or voice command.

The Note phablet would reconignise the command and eject the S Pen into your hand via electromagnets in the pen and in the phone. There would also be a warning system if the auto-eject of the S Pen fails.

While the feature is not needed, it is nice to have, and could one-up Samsung from the competiton. The Voice command would be nice to have and would make one handed operation a lot easier, since it is hard to do that sort of thing with a phone that big.

Just because it is patented does not mean that it will be implemented in the next generation, however. It is a nice idea to have, but for now we have to wait to see if the idea becomes a reality.
