You can share files with a handshake in latest Apple WatchOS Beta
Chances are, you have heard of Android Beam, which lets you transfer files with a tap between two phones. and Apple takes on the same approach with AirDrop, that lets you transfer files between your Mac, iPad, iPhone and iPod wirelessly. There hasn't been a method to transfer files between Apple Watches, yet. According to a recent patent by Apple, Apple Watch users could transfer files with each other via a handy handshake. The patent is titled "Gesture-based Information Exchange Between Devices in Proximity" and in the summary it describes that a file exchange would be made at a "greeting event" where data could be transferred via a number of ways. Such as a handshake, hug, bow or even a high five. Data transferred could be, but not limited to contacts and location data. Apple goes on to explain that "Users can control and customize what information their devices send in a context-specific manner; this can allow users to manage and control the sharing of personal data and/or other information items according to their preferences while still allowing the exchange to occur automatically (without being expressly initiated by the user.)" Data could also be transferred between different devices, such as a iPhone or payment terminal, which is already used via Apple Pay.
