Wireless charging could soon come to Chromebooks

Wireless charging is becoming more and more popular everyday, as it is a nice feature just to set your device on the dock and don't have to worry about connecting the phone to a cord and having to worry about the cable length. That feature could soon make it to Chromebooks, as google has patented a way to wirelessly charge Chromebook devices and even power some other devices at the same time. How it would work is via small charging coils in the keyboard that would work as receivers and transmitters. You have probably heard of the receiver, but what is the transmitter? Well, you could set your wireless charge capable phone on the keyboard and that would charge not only the laptop, but the phone, as well. Google also notes that this could be featured in a standalone keyboard, not just a laptop. Like most if patents, this might not see the light of day, but it is an interesting concept nonetheless.
