E-Ink displays are great in a couple of ways. First, they can make devices last for a long time, we have seen this in the Pebble smartwatch and the Amazon Kindle. And can be read outside on a sunny day with little to no trouble at all. Sydney agrees with this statement, as they are now using outdoor E-Ink displays to guide motorists during special events. Sydney Road and Maritime service agency was in charge of changing the signs, and wa developed with a company called Visionect. The informational signs are powered by solar panels and can be updated through the "Internet of Things" network. There are anti-tampering and location detection technology built in, incase someone steals the device or even hacks it.
