18.1 percent of Android devices have lollipop


Google recently announced the distribution numbers for each version of Android, and shows that Google's most recent version of Android, 5.0 Lollipop is installed on 18.1% of devices, jumping from 12.4 percent that was taken in June. KitKat is installed on 39.3% of devices, ever so slightly increasing from 39.2%, Jelly Bean is installed on 33.6% of devices, instead of 37.4% last reported in June. Ice Cream Sandwich is on 4.1% of devices, Gingerbread has 4.6% and Froyo has 0.3%. It is important to disclose that Google skipped reporting previous numbers in July, so there are 2 months of change to take into account.
