Acer takes on the Chromebook with a $169 Windows 10 laptop
Chromebooks have been known for a good basic computer for not a lot of money. Chromebooks have been dominating the "cheap computer" market sector, and Microsoft isn't too happy about it. Microsoft recently released the HP Stream 13, which is a cheap windows PC for the same price as a Chromebook. Microsoft is back at it with the Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and 14. Both are thin and light Windows 10 PC's that offer a 'real' computer experience even if you are on a tight budget. The Cloudbook 11 costs $169 while the Cloudbook 14 costs $199. Both computers have 1.6GHz Celeron processors with 2GB of RAM, full-size keyboards and USB, HDMI, and an SD card slot. With the price this low, some areas have to be cut down. The 11-inch model ony has 16GB of storage, only a 480p webcam and shorter battery life than the HP Stream laptops. You do get a full year of Office 365 Personal and 1B of OneDrive storage space. You can get the Cloudbook 11 sometime this month while the Cloudbook 14 will come sometime next month.
