Misfit and Speedo creates a fitness tracker for swimmers

The fitness wearable market is crowded, with features left and right. But there isn't a fitness tracker for swimmers, until now. Misfit and Speedo teamed up to create a new version of the Misfit Shine that is specifically made for swimmers. The new shine is "the first device of its kind with swimmers in mind" that includes lap counting algorithms, tally stats for strokes and more. The Shine comes in a lighter shade of silver and still works like all of their other products, it will keep your sleep and distance, step counter and more by syncing data to Misfits Android or iOS app. Oh, and the battery should last up to 6 months on a charge. If you don't know how the device will perform, Olympic medalist Missy Frankin the A-OK, claiming that "One of the most difficult parts of swimming for fitness is keeping track of laps and the Speedo Shine eliminates that challenge," If you want to try one out for yourself, the Shine costs $80 and will go on sale September 1st.
