3 update to 4G.

Today we’ve heard that Three network are about to give their customers a rather nice little present. Rumour has it that their chunk of 800MHz spectrum will be switched on from September 10th, which is Thursday. Upgrades to masts have been made and it should mean that roughly half of their 4G network will be lit up.

Are Three UK about to turn on 4G? Using the 800MHz frequency is a great way to penetrate buildings too, so if you’re struggling with 3G on Three you could find that the new lower frequency bursts through. Oh, and let’s not forget that Three are delivering 4G to their customers for no additional cost, so you should see it pop up without having to switch plans. If you start seeing some improvements this week, let us know by adding your comments here. Tell us where in the UK you're from.
