IFA 2015: Asus has a crazy looking new router

Routers are often bland looking devices, that are just ... there. Well, Asus wants to change that as they have announced a crazy looking router called the RT-AC5300. There are eight external dual-band antennas that will deliver "ultra-wide area coverage" and are removable. The router can reach speeds up to 1Gbps over a 2.4GHz spectrum, and 2.167Gbps on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, for a total of 5.3Gbs. Which Asus claims that this router is is the fastest one yet, and it looks like it. The RT-AC5300 is arriving sometime later this year, and price has not been disclosed yet.
