IFA 2015: Lenovo creates a surface clone

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a great laptop/tablet hybrid, and apparently Lenovo agrees as they have created the Ideapad Miix 700, which undeniably looks like the Surface Pro 3, from the hinge that folds back almost flat, and the keyboard that attaches to the Miix 700 the same way as the Pro 3, and looks almost identical, with some minor tweaks.
Lenovo calls the hinge on the Tablet a watchband hinge, and it looks and operates like Lenovo's recent hinges found on the Yoga two-in-one laptop line, but executes the same way that is found on the Surface Pro 3, And according to The Verge, it is not as sturdy as the hinge on the Surface, either. Lenovo also created a keyboard that attaches to the tablet the same way as the Surface, the first part latches to the bottom of the tablet, and then you can attach another part of the keyboard to the screen for a better position or lapability. Lenovo's keyboard is bigger and more bulkier than the one found on the Surface, but has more key travel and a better trackpad. The Miix 700 also comes with a stylus, that can be attached to a spare USB port when not in use via an adapter.
Specifications for the Miix 700 include Intel's new Skylake processors, with the higher-end model going to the Core M7 processor and 8GB of RAM. There is an option of adding LTE support, and even Intel's RealSense 3D rear camera. The tablet is projected t be available sometime in November with a starting price of $699.
