IFA 2015: Samsung announces a 4K Blu-Ray Player

Samsung at IFA 2015 in Berlin, Germany announced the world's first 4K Blu-Ray player that offers 64 times "Higher color expression" than standard Blu-Ray disks, and can upscale any disc to UHD resolution. And it is compatible with services that stream in 4K and supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) videos. It comes with both 2.4 ans 5GHz wireless, offers a front USB port and connects to Samsung's SmartThings hub. There is no information about price or availability, but that should be coming soon.

Samsung said that they are committed to expanding the 4K or Ultra HD ecosystem, and they have partnered with Amazon, Netflix, British Telecom and Canal Plus to further create more UHD content. Samsung also mentioned their line of UHD TV's which will soon support the upcoming HDMI 2.0a format, which allows for HDR input.
