Amazon's fire Phone has been extinguished
It has been over a year since Amazon announced their first foray into the Smartphone market with the Fire phone and all the hype around it has died, as the phone is no longer being sold by Amazon. And the phone won't be restocked anytime soon, and we probably won't be a successor for the fire phone for a while, as well.
The phone had a lot of hype and excitement around it but ultimately failed to deliver when the phone was being sold for $200 with a 2-year agreement, which turned most potential users away. Amazon then counter-reacted by dropping the price down, but only confirmed that their hype for the phone has been extinguished.
