EC Technology Power Bank 22,400mAh Review

The EC Technology power bank rated at 22,400mAh has all the specs on paper for a powerhouse- but how does the power bank really hold up in real life use?

I got the power bank a couple of weeks ago and have been testing it ever since. Starting off with the design, the power bank comes in a solid sturdy form factor with a fair bit of weight. It measured in at 439g which is respectable especially with the large battery capacity so I couldn't complain. Around the device are three USB outputs each outputting different amps, a flashlight and a micro usb port to charge the device.

In my testing I found that the results varied a lot. I was able to charge my Nexus 5 (2,300mAh) three times, Moto 360 smartwatch (320mAh) twice and my LG G Pad 8.3 tablet (4,600mAh) twice. However, one my second test I found that it was unable to charge as much as the first time. It is worth mentioning that all batteries do not have the exact capacity stated as energy is lost.

The EC Technology power bank was able to charge all my devices to the normal speed which was very pleasing. The device itself took around 6 hours to charge on a 2.1amp power brick.

In conclusion, the EC Technology power bank is a great affordable buy - currently at £25 on Amazon. It provides a good capacity and charges any device quickly. The weight is a tad on the heavy side so definitely bear that in mind when purchasing it.
