LG officially announced the V10 with some useful features

LG has been known for making great, powerful flagships with a design that left a few users wanting more. Well, that is about to change as LG just unveiled a new smartphone named the V10, that has a more premium design with the same specifications found on the LG G4. The V10 is a part of LG’s new “V” line, which will offer a more premium design and better build quality than the “G” line of devices.

As mentioned above, the V10 has pretty much the same internals as found on the LG G4, including a 3000mAh user-removable battery alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 4GB of RAM, and a 16-Megapixel camera on the back, which is the same sensor found on the G4. Additionally, the laser autofocus sensor and dual-tone flash is there, as well. But what makes the V10 different than the G4 is that the screen is flat while the screen is ever so slightly curved on the G4. And also like previously mentioned above, the V10 offers a more premium design, with metal around the sides instead of plastic silicone that is found on many of LG’s other flagship devices.

The V10 also has a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, but with a cool unique feature that is similar to the Galaxy Note 4 Edge. That feature is a secondary display that is located on the top of the phone, instead of the side. It can show things like displaying the weather, time and date and even the phone's battery level when the main screen is off. But when the main screen is on, it can act as a tool for quick-launching apps, favorite contacts and even show some notifications.

And another cool feature about the V10 is the fact that there is not one, but two front-facing cameras that are located next to the secondary display that both have the same 5-megapixel sensor, but one offers a wide 180 degree view while the other can offer a narrower 80 degree view.

While LG doesn’t directly say that it can create 3D images with the V10, it does however offer software that can combine images together by the two cameras. Speaking of cameras, LG has made an emphasis on photography on the G4, but with the V10, LG has made the emphasis on videography. LG even said that they hope that “The V10 will do for video what the G4 did for photographs.”

It will offer full control over things that photographers drool over, such as shutter speed, white balance, focus, ISO, and the frame rate. It can also shoot in UHD, FHD, and standard HD, with an option to shoot in 21:9 aspect ratio. The addition of Optical Image Stabilisation and Electronic Image Stabilisation is nice to have, as well.

The V10 will be sold here in the United States, South Korea, China, and a few other countries sometime soon, with the price and availability to be revealed sometime later. It will also come in Black, White, Beige and two different blue colors. The only (possible) downside, there is only one storage option, and that is 64GB.
