Top 5 Features of the Google Nexus 6P
The Nexus 5X was an improved phone of the Nexus 5 and the 6P was also an improved version of its previous phone the Nexus 6. The 6P is the higher-end device of the two phones. Here are 5 new features that the Nexus 6P has:
1. Front-facing speakers
Front-facing speakers are the best kind of speakers you can get on any type of device. They were found on the nexus 6 and they are now found on the Nexus 6P. If you haven’t used front-facing speakers before, then you might not know about the difference between the two. Once you have a phone that has them, you won’t want to go back to rear speakers.
2. Qualcomm SnapDragon 810
The Qualcomm SnapDragon hasn’t had the best results on all smartphones. On the Sony Xperia Z3+ it was overheating the whole smartphone, but on the Xperia Z4 tablet it was very powerful. The 810 works really well with the Nexus 6P and doesn’t overheat at all. It makes multitasking and intensive apps work pleasantly.
3. USB-C
USB-C charging is just starting up in smartphones and tablets and Google has started using it as well. It’s of the first smartphones to use it instead of the standard micro-USB cable. The new port has a number of advantages like being completely reversible and has higher charging and data transferring rates. This is just the start of USB-C, so you can expect it to become present on many phones in the very near future.
4. Metal Unibody
The design of the new Nexus devices aren’t very pleasing to many people, however the build quality is excellent. Apart from the glass strip at the top, the Nexus 6P is made from an aero-grade aluminum unibody. This will make it the first Google device to be made from metal. The material looks very durable as well so you won’t really need to worry about the device if you drop it.
5. Huge Battery
As phones are getting slimmer and slimmer each time a new generation comes out, they sacrifice their battery for their design. Google and Huawei haven’t done that this year. They have made it slimmer but also have a bigger battery. Last years’ Motorola made Nexus had 3300 mAh of battery while the new 6P has 3450 mAh of battery. Although it’s not removable, this is one of the biggest batteries you can find on a phone right now.
Although there are some minor flaws on this device, we can definitely expect a lot of great things to come from the Huawei made Nexus 6P. The 6P also has some very similar features to the 5X such as the fingerprint scanner and 12.3 megapixel camera.
