Sharp has a $130,000 85' 8K TV
Even though 4K hasn't quite hit the mainstream yet, there is already an 8K TV announced earlier this year by Sharp that will cost you a pretty penny.
The 85' 8K Monitor/TV is on sale in Japan for 16,000,000, yen, or $133,034 USD, and is for professional use only. That is mainly due to the fact that there isn't any content to watch in 8K, just yet.
The TV is 16 times the resolution of 1080p, at 7,680 x 4,320 and uses Sharps IGZO technology. If you would like to watch any content, you would have to plug in all four of the HDMI outputs to get enough bandwith. And also, contact Sharps Business-to-Business sales unit, if you have enough money, that is.
