BlackBerry launches US preorders for $699 Priv Android slider phone

The BlackBerry Priv is now up for preorder. You can purchase the Priv for $699 yes that's right $699 US Dollars. That puts BlackBerry in direct competition with some of the best smartphones you can buy. So for $699 is it worth it?
The Priv is a complete powerhouse it features a snapdragon 808, 3GB of ram, 32GB of storage, a 5.4-inch curved display, a HUGE 3410mAh battery, 18-megapixel camera, and its most distinctive feature a slide-out physical keyboard. The only downside is that the BlackBerry Priv will not work with Verizon, Sprint, or U.S. Cellular.
The price of The Priv or its incompatibility with certain carriers won't completely diminish the excitement for a BlackBerry smartphone running Android. The BlackBerry Priv will start shipping on November 6th in The United States. Overall, the Priv is totally worth it and it has the potential to be one the of the best smartphones of the year.
