RAVPower Bolt 6 Port Desktop USB Charger Review!
Charging your devices can be a pain especially when you are on holiday with a limited amount of power outlets. Charging one device at a time is slow and carrying around multiple chargers and wires can be annoying. Introducing the saviour to your problems - the RAVPower Bolt 6 Port USB charger.
As the name suggests, the unit itself is a host to 6 USB ports. This means charging 6 different devices from one power outlet. The idea is clever and sophisticated allowing you to charge a vast quantity of devices at a time.
Inside the packaging, you will find the unit itself, a cable plugging into the wall to the device and documentation about the product. Upon first impressions, I was very impressed. The device was solid and well built. I was rather surprised at how small and lightweight the unit was which was pleasing.
The RAVPower 6 port charger offers ISMART technology. This means the output from each USB port will detect the specific input of each device you have. For example, my Nexus 5 charges at 1.2 amps so the output will also be 1.2 amps. On traditional chargers, the output will be different leading to different charging times. As expected, my Nexus 5 charges just as quickly when plugged into the USB Charger.
I tried charging 6 devices at the same time and the Ravpower USB Charger had no problem, still outputting the specific charging speeds to each device.
The only issue I found while using the product was a humming sound coming from the unit. The sound is apparent and can be heard whenever the unit is on. I found this particularly annoying at night when it is quiet. It could be that I received a faulty unit.
In conclusion, this is a must have. It is a great idea that works really well. Charging multiple devices at the same time has never been easier...
