Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is official
Motorola's Droid Turbo line has always been powerhouses offering a fantastic set of specifications. Today, Motorola unveiled the Droid Turbo 2 and its packing some impressive specs.
Starting with internals, we have the powerful Snapdragon 810 V2.1 at the show here backed up with a beefy 3GB of RAM. Storage options will start at 32GB or 64GB with both offering micro SD cards slots for expansion. The camera setup includes a 21MP shooter with a f/2.0 aperture and dual led flash. Video recording will be at 4K resolution. The front camera will shoot at 5MP.
Motorola has boasted a 48 hours on the battery which is a big claim so we are really excited to see how long this phone can last. The Droid 2 will also support wireless charging out the box.
The biggest change here is the screen. Motorola is claiming a shatterproof display - one that cannot crack easily. Motorola has opted for a 5.4 inch super AMOLED 2K display which will offer punchy colours and sharp text. The screen uses a combination of 5 different layers in order to make it resilient to knocks and drops. We are interested to see how durable this screen really is in real life situations.
The 32GB model will set you back $624 while the 64GB model will set you back for $720.
