After years of negotiations, members of the European Parliament have finally decided to scrap roaming data charges in the EU completely.

From 15th June 2017, roaming charges will be abolished. In the meantime, you can expect to see a change in roaming charges. On 30th April 2016, while we wait for the complete ban to come into effect, we can expect to see dramatically reduced charges, with only 3.6pence extra per minute of calling and per megabyte used and 1.4p extra per SMS sent allowed to be added to your bill. (At exchange rate from euro to pounds on 27/10/15). This would see bills reduced by up to 75% while we wait for the complete stop to come in.
This means that from 15th June 2017, you can expect to only pay your normal rate anywhere in the EU!
