Xbox One's big Windows 10 update arrives on November 12th

On November 12th Microsoft will be releasing a new update for the Xbox One. This new update will bring Windows 10 to the console as a dashboard update. The new dashboard includes features that focus on speed and performance, and a design that is a lot easier to use with a controller instead of Kinect.

Microsoft redesigned the Xbox One interface so you won't no longer have to be in and out of friends, party, and messages. They have made it easier for a better gaming experience. Microsoft will also launch backwards compatibility for all Xbox one consoles. You will be able to play your Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One but there is limited amount of titles supported, Microsoft is currently working to enable hundreds more.

Sadly, Cortana won't be arriving until 2016. Xbox One preview members will be able to test this feature at the end if the year. An Early preview shows that Cortana is very similar to the available on Windows 10.
