Xiaomi announces MiUi 7

Xiaomi has just announced that MiUi 7 is stable, and global versions have been released!

MiUi is a custom User Interface built by Xiaomi, based on android lollipop.

The Over The Air update has been pushed out, meaning that you can get the update by going into the 'updates' app, but if the OTA hasn't arrived on your phone yet, or you just can’t wait to try it, there’s no need to worry – the ROM has also been released as a .Zip File, meaning you can flash it in recovery mode.

The update is only available on the Mi Note, Mi 4, Mi 3, Redmi 2/Prime, Redmi 4G, Mi Pad and Redmi 1S 3G.

Xiaomi is making lots of claims about the latest update of their UI, claiming that it’s 30% faster and lasts 10% longer.

You can also use any of the plethora of new customizations included, such as font sizes, themes, child mode, and some other great features that are only for the Indian version, such as SMS grouping, different lock screen backgrounds every day and smart password handling.
