Redmi 2 Pro en route to America

Xiaomi is a big company in Asia dominating most of the market. However, Xiaomi aims to bring its products to American shores, starting with the Redmi 2 Pro, which recently passed through FCC.

The Redmi 2 Pro is not a powerhouse or flagship by any means. Under the hood, it has the Snapdragon 410 CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with the option of expansion via the micro card SD slot.

The screen measures in at 4.7 inches with a modest 720p resolution giving it a PPI of 312 pixels per inch. The camera set up includes an 8MP snapper with LED flash and a 2MP selfie camera.

The Redmi 2 Pro has a 2,200mAh rated battery under the plastic shell. There is no NFC on board so Android Pay is out of the question. There is, however, support of 3G and 4G bands which will work on the American networks AT&T and T-Mobile.

The Redmi 2 Pro is already available via import retailors for a relativity low price of $150.
