UMI Iron Pro is official
Today UMI unveiled their successor to the popular UMI Iron, dubbed the UMI Iron Pro. The smartphone brings a whole lot of security features including an eye scanner as well as a fingerprint scanner.
The body of the UMI Iron Pro is carved out of a single piece of aircraft-grade magnesium-aluminium alloy making the device both strong and attractive. The phone is available in two colours, grey and white.
The screen size measures in 5.5" with a 1080p panel at the show giving it a respectable 403 pixels per inch (PPI). Under the metal chassis is an eight-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz backed up with 3GB of RAM
The camera setup includes a 13MP sensor with dual LED flash and an aperture of f/2.0 for great low light photos. On the front is an 8MP selfie shooter with its own dedicated flash.
The UMI Iron Pro will have dual sim capabilities with the option for expansion with a micro SD card. The Iron Pro has LTE support, dual-band WI-FI and the new USB Type-C port. There is also a beefy 3,100mAh rated battery.
