Instagram Builds Its Own Version of Snapchat Live Stories
You're now able to watch live stories on Instagram. The idea is to take popular events going on and make it much easier to find.
The spokesperson for Instagram said that "this is a new way to experience events and big moments as they happen". He also said that "it's just the start - there is much more coming in the future".
Instagram wasn't the first to have this feature. Snapchat and Twitter were the first to have this feature. All of these networks have the same issues, people like to talk and share what they are doing offline on each platform but it can't seem to be organized at all. This transition isn't a total surprise the company revamped its search feature back in June to better collect content around specific topics.
