The LG Urbane LTE smartwatch was the first Android Wear-powered device capable of using data services via the included sim card slot. Yesterday, AT&T unveiled the successor; the LG Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.

The goal of smartwatches such as these is to remove the need of carrying your smartphone around. Eventually, people will just use their smartwatch for calls, texts and much more. The watch will cost $300 up-front which isn't too bad.

Also, onboard the Urbane 2 is Bluetooth and WI-FI connectivity. The Snapdragon 400 processor will be powering the device backed up with 786MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

There will be a 570mAh rated battery which is the largest battery yet in any smartwatch- so we are expecting great performance. The Urbane 2nd edition LTE will also have the highest resolution display at 480 x 480 with a 348 pixels per inch (PPI).

The LG Urbane 2nd Edition smartwatch looks like a great device with lots of potential. What do you guys think?
