The accessory for the problem you didn’t know you had
Have you ever had to play ‘find the emoji’ to get the perfect emoji response? No? Well, then this isn’t for you.
In Austin, Texas, EmojiWorks has made a Bluetooth keyboard with emojis, so you can type your emojis out with a click of a key. There are 3 different keyboards, the cheapest at £32.71 ($49.95,), with 47 emojis for your basic emoji needs, the Plus at £49.08 ($74.95) with double the emojis and skin tone options, and the Pro for £65.45 ($99.95) with over 120+ emojis. It works with Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.1+ and iOS 9.1+. Windows 10 is currently being tried with the EmojiWorks software while there is no mention of compatibility with other operating systems.
There is no information on what the battery life of the keyboard is going to be like, but I’m sure it will be decent like many Bluetooth keyboards below £65.48 ($100).
As you can see, this is a niche item which not everyone is going to buy, but is this the start of a new market? Technology just for doing one thing, like a button for sending a word on your phone? Or is this just a one-off item? We’ll have to wait and see when it releases this December.
