The new Nook GlowLight Plus offers a premium design

Barnes and Noble's E-Reader division called Nook has recently partnered with Samsung to make some Nook-branded Tablets. However, we haven't seen a refresh to their E-Reader called the GlowLight. In fact, it's been two years since a new model, until now, as they have released the GlowLight plus that offers a premium design.

The GlowLight Plus offers a new premium design that is built out of aluminium, which will feel infinitely nicer in the hand than the model before. It also has an IP67 water resistance rating, so it should handle some brief moments with water. The battery should last up to 6 weeks thanks to it's low-energy e-ink display, which now has twice the amount of pixels than before. As the name suggests, there is also an ambient light that will make reading easier either during the day or night.

The user interface has also been updated on the new GlowLight plus, as Barnes and Noble added a new tab called B&N Readouts. The new tab shows the user a new selection of books each day. The feature is also now located on their iOS and Android App, as well. Barnes and Nobile is also offering a handful of cases and accessories with the GlowLight plus, as well. One highlighted case has an included pen that allows the user to write on the cover of the case.

If you or someone you know is interested in the GlowLight Plus, it is now available at Barnes & Noble for $129.99USD and comes with free in-store lifetime support.
