Smartwatches have been coming more and more popular offering you the ability to read texts, perform tasks and receive notifications. However, Chronos, a new product aims to turn your traditional watch into a smartwatch.

Chronos is a thin disc which sticks to the bottom of any watch and can vibrate and light up to alert you of notifications. It is also capable of fitness tracking. The main goal of the device is for notifications. The Chronos uses combinations of different light flashes and vibrations to make the wearer aware of incoming notifications.

Chronos will work alongside a dedicated application where you can assign vibration patterns and light flashes to certain notifications or contacts. However, the device is very limited as you cannot reply or read text messages but the idea is very clever and useful.

Chronos is available today for preorder on iOS and Android for $99.
