New Nexus 7 tablet could be released in 2016

It's been 2 years since Google released their 2nd-generation Nexus 7 tablet. New rumours say there will be an upgraded version in 2016.

According to Weibo, Google has already started working on the new tablet. A leak also shows Huawei, the maker of the Nexus 6P, being a possible partner for the 2016 Nexus 7. The Nexus 6P is a popular device, so it wouldn’t be that bad to see a tablet being made by Huawei as well.

The 6P’s metal design was great and every tech fan would love to see it carried over to the tablet, but the partnership isn’t confirmed and ASUS were the partners of the first 2 generations of the tablet, so why wouldn’t they make the third one as well? The ASUS CEO, Jonney Shih teased the device in a recent interview, saying, “stay tuned”.

Even though there are all these rumours, we can’t say for sure if they are even going to release another tablet after the plus-sized smartphones like the 6P and 6 they released earlier.
