With CES 2016 just around the corner, German car giant Volkswagen reportedly has plans to revamp the iconic Microbus. From the brand-new teaser that the company released, we can see that the car has a more futuristic and modern representation – but what else could we see?

With an illuminated front grille, squinting headlights, and large VW logo, we can also imagine features such as a wide D-pillar (rear-end), short overhangs (the length between the bumpers and wheels), box-shaped body, and many other elements from the original Microbus of the 1950s – as stated in recent rumours.
Volkswagen’s intention with this concept is to change the current situation that the company has fallen into. It’s a method for the company to look towards the future, and promote itself to the world in the Consumer Electronics Show next year.
We’ve already seen a concept VW Microbus at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, but we didn’t see the company actually doing something with it. Let’s see if Volkswagen can change the game in 2016.
