Facebook Messenger's update comes with a pack of new social tools

The communication platform is a very well-known product of social network giant Facebook. With a neat and simple design, Facebook Messenger’s fresh update adds to the list of benefits. Since Thursday, the update enables users to change the colour themes, personalise different chats, give your friends special nicknames, and many other goodies are thrown in as well.

You can now choose which colour schemes to assign different people you chat with. So, for example; if you’re messaging Callum Broad, you’ll view a brown colour. That’s if you chose that colour for the conversation – who’d choose brown anyway?

Different conversations will look different based on who you’re chatting with, so it’s totally up to you on which colour to give which person; brown is probably for the person you don’t like at all – it’s totally unique to that individual, so in this case it's a bit petty like their personality.

On top of this new feature, Facebook is also throwing in ‘Photo Magic’, which is dedicated to identify different people in a photo, and then allow users to share images with connections across Facebook. To be honest, this is a pretty convenient way for users to remember and share images with their friends, after all, Facebook stated that ‘Photo Magic’ was implemented because people often keep images in their photo galleries without posting them on the social network and sharing with friends.

With the Christmas season already here, it’s a smart move by Facebook to get more people to share pictures on the social network, however, if you’re not too keen on the idea, you have the option to leave out the new feature.
