FAA: More than 45,000 drones have been registered so far
There is no denying that drones have been becoming more and more popular throughout the years. They are becoming so popular that the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) announced a new rule stating that by Febuary 19th 2016, all drone users need to register their drone. If they don't they will face some serious fines.
In a recent statement, the FAA stated that "The agency has seen strong initial demand, with more than 45,000 registrations completed..." Also in that statement, the FAA claimed that more than 400,000 drones could be purchased this holiday season, and that any drone bought after December 21st needs to be registered before the first flight. Needless to say, if you or someone you know has a drone this holiday season, kindly remind them that they shoud register it to the FAA.
