Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge dimensions and specs leaked

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 edge devices have been rumored for a while, and with CES and MWC just around the corner, the rumors are coming out almost every day now. That continues with the most recent leak thanks to Shai Mizrachi, who leaked the S6 Edge dimensions last year. This time, he allegedly confirms the dimensions for the S7 and S7 Edge.

According to the leak, the S7 Edge will have a bigger screen size of 5.5 inches, compared to the S7 which could have a 5.2-inch display. This differs from the models announced this year, as they both had 5.2-inch screens. Additionally, the backs of the devices will be almost identical to the Note 5 and Edge+. That meaning, The S7 will feature curves on the backside whereas the S7 Edge will feature curves on the front of the device. The glass and medal design will also be used, thus making easier to hold in the hands. Finally, Samsung could drop the IR blaster from the device. Which makes sense as more and more manufacturers have been doing this throughout the year.

The rumored specs for the S7 include a 5.2-Inch Super AMOLED Quad-HD screen, a Snapdragon 820 processor that will be available in the United States and China. An Exynos 8890 processor will be on devices in Europe and Asia. Assisting the processor will be 4GB of RAM. There will be either 32 or 64GB internal storage options but interestingly, there could be the return of expandable storage could be possible, but on the S7 model only. Additionally, there is a 20MP Sony IMX300 camera with OIS, phase detection auto focus, and a 1µm pixel size. There is also support for LTE Car 12 with 600 Mbps downlink.
