Apple iPad Pro: quick specs

The iPad Pro is Apple's newest addition to its tablet range. With a whopping 12.9-inch LED-backlit screen, is it capable of replacing both tablets and laptops in your home?

Design:

The iPad Pro measures 12 by 8.68 inches, and is 6.9mm thick. It weighs in at 713g. The iPad pro is a very sleek device, and, with a fairly large bag, can become quite portable.

Display:

The iPad Pro boasts a 12.9-inch Retina display and an LED-backlit widescreen with Multitouch display. It features a 2732x2048 resolution at 264 pixels per inch. The screen is covered in an anti-reflective coating.

Chip:

The iPad Pro has Apple's newest chip, the A9X chip with 64-bit architecture and an M9 motion coprocessor.

Cameras:

The iPad Pro features an 8MP iSight camera with Autofocus and 3x zoom. The face detection feature has been improved on this product. It can record at 1080p HD video recording (30 fps) and Slo-mo (120 fps). The facetime HD camera can take 1.2MP photos and can record video at (HD) 720p. Both cameras feature backside illumination.

So, with the Apple Smart Keyboard, can your iPad Pro replace your tablets and laptops alike? Yes, if you are willing on further investing on a Smart KeyBoard.

Although iPad Pro is running iOS 9 rather that OS X, it can still handle laptop-like activities such as e-mailing, web-browsing, video watching and document compiling. The biggest downside is that once you have purchased the iPad, the Keyboard and perhaps the Apple Pencil, you have paid the same price as a lower spec MacBook.
