Tesla's latest update makes your car driver-less

So, Tesla have released an update (7.1) for it's Model X, Model X crossover and Model S, which, in short, allows owners to drive their car forwards and backwards with only their key.

This feature would help drivers with small garages, and parking in tight spaces when it would be difficult to open your door and get out.

To work the 'Summon' control, you simply line your car up with your desired parking spot, press and hold the center button on the key fob, wait for the hazard lights to flash and then press the boot button. Watch in awe as your car drives into the designated open spot. Your car can even open and close your garage door if you have HomeLink set up!

'Summon' is currently in beta mode, so it is not connected to your car immediately. Drivers will have to go to Controls>Settings>Driver Assistance>Autopilot to connect forces with your car.

With this new update, Autosteer will be restricted if drivers try to turn it on while driving on residential road or street without a central division. The software will not allow speeds more than 5mph above the speed limit. Tesla also says that lane guidance is improved, especially near motorway entry and exit lanes.
